Inspired by cold winter in Tohoku region, of its cool fresh air and beautiful snow. In de ep in the mountain such as Zao in Miyagi, there is more than 1feet high snow and the snowed trees looks like snow flower.

Made from royal blue color summer obi. Stylized snow flake motif are interwoven by silver and gold threads. In early 18th century, snow flake were studied of its each different shape in Japan. Since Momoyama era, the snow flake pattern became very popular design for Kimono and for Noh costume (traditional Japanese dance devoting at shrine). There are block check patterns weaving as the background of fabric making this obi more sophisticated and modern classy looks.
