Inspired by night cherry blossom in Tsuruga castle in Aizu Wakamatsu. Designed the scene cherry blossoms emerges at night reflecting the natural light of moon and star. Mystic and romantic feeling. Expressing the fresh night water drop by blue beads.
Cherry blossoms patterns are one of most popular pattern in Kimono. Gorgeous yet sensitive, pale pink color flowers are beautiful when full blooming and even when the petals fell down with winds. In old time Japan, Daimyo adore the cherry blossoms and made formal tea ceremony at daytime under the trees or went to see them in night time for its emerging white beauty. Beads embroidery in the center of flower and also blue beads represent the water drop from coolness of night time.
Background old gold colored pattern is Japanese ball shape and weaving the geometric pattern of flax leaf inside. Flax leaf is very strong and grows fast in straight stem. Therefore people in old time loved to use them as the gift of new born baby cloth wishing the baby to grow fast and strong. Last half of Edo era, this pattern was used for Kabuki actors’ dress and made it very popular among the people in town.
